Why I Built 740ft

I built these tools as a small business IT admin who got tired of looking for one tool that just told me when domains or SSL certs were going to expire. That’s how domaincat.app was born. I wanted it to handle everything you’d need as far as notifications about expiring domains and SSL certs. It may not seem like a huge deal until you’re managing 100 or so — and it gets even more complicated when you don’t own the domain or cert yourself.

After building DomainCat I kept thinking of things that fit naturally alongside it — like the free domain health checker, which gives you a full snapshot of any domain’s SSL, DNS, SPF, DMARC, and blacklist status in seconds. No account needed.

smbot.app came from a simple observation — most small businesses want a decent chatbot on their site but don’t want to pay for something before they know it works. So we kept it free to start. You only pay when it’s actually doing the job.

VendorCat.app started because I know too many people drowning in vendor accounts, payment dates, and renewal reminders with no good place to track it all. I didn’t want to build another CRM. Just a clean, simple way to stay on top of the stuff that slips through the cracks.

I’d love to add more features and I will as ideas come. If you have one, I’d genuinely like to hear it — reach out at [email protected].
